First Two Days: Reminders

I hope the first two days of school were great for everyone! Parents, you should ask your students to see my syllabus and important information sheet. Please sign the syllabus showing that you have read the information completely. Students will glue the syllabus into their journals (which will stay in class). I also sent home a “Million Word Essay” with some classes. If you did not get this yet, you will get it tomorrow or Thursday. Parents, this is not a requirement, but it does help me get to know the students.

All students should bring the following items with them (if not already):
--A 3-5 subject college ruled spiral notebook (to be left in class)
--A 3-pronged folder with pockets (to be taken back and forth between home and school for homework, bellringers, and extra paper)
--blue or black ink pens (for students’ personal use)
--colored pencils (these will not be used every day, and I do have some in class for the students to use)
--college ruled notebook paper (for students’ personal use)
--planner (check the planner to make sure your student is keeping up with everything!)

***If you would like to make a donation to the school, we will always be in need of tissues and copy paper. Thank you to all who have already made donations! We really appreciate them!

***Just a reminder that the summer reading assignment will be due after Labor Day. Students will also be able to check out books from my classroom library at that time. I will also count hall passes starting after Labor Day, and all supplies should be purchased by then.
