Hooray...Testing is over! (for now)

On Thursday, September 5-6, we took notes on plot and the plot mountain, so be sure to get those notes from a friend or when you come back. We then read “The School Play” (starts on page 32 in the Literature book) and drew a plot mountain in our journals. Each mountain should show one event from the exposition of the story, at least three events from the rising action, one climax, one falling action event, and one resolution.

Homework (due Monday, 9/9 and Tuesday 9/10):

Put this in your folders so that you have it with you when you come to class.
• Pick a novel you have already read (one you have finished, not one you are reading now).
• In a paragraph, explain what the climax of the novel is and why you believe that is the climax. Your paragraphs should contain evidence from the text and should explain your thoughts fully.

Just a reminder that everyone should bring a folder with paper and bellringers to class every day, and 3-subject notebooks should be left in the class.
