6th Grade: We are continuing to read The Giver, by Lois Lowry. Today (or tomorrow for those of you that have me on B days) we read Chapters 8 and 9. We worked on the vocabulary assignment in our journals, and unfortunately did not get to the other assignment for today. Next class, we will read some more, but we will also be talking about how to use support from the text in your writing. You will most likely have homework next class. For tonight, no homework.
8th Grade: We just started reading The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, by Robert Louis Stevenson. Tomorrow, we will read some more and we will continue to work on our "field guides" in our journals. Come to class ready to read this difficult, but engaging, text!
